Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by a Mandari Travel representative and transferred to your luxury lodge in Arusha. Relax after your flight and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of your lodge, nestled at the foot of Mount Meru. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a scenic drive followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. You may spot lions, giraffes, wildebeests, and over 400 bird species. Dinner and overnight at a luxury lodge overlooking the park.
Day 3: Full Day in Tarangire
Spend a full day exploring Tarangire’s diverse landscapes. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives with time to relax at your lodge between activities. The Tarangire River often attracts a variety of animals, making it a perfect setting for photography and nature observation. Overnight at the same lodge.
Day 4: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. Take a leisurely game drive through the park’s forested areas and lakeside plains. In the evening, enjoy the comfort of your lodge with panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley.
Day 5: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
Head towards the legendary Serengeti National Park, passing through the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you approach the park, the endless plains stretch before you—home to the Big Five and the world-famous Great Migration (depending on the season). Arrive at your luxury tented lodge in time for dinner.
Day 6: Full Day in Serengeti
Spend the day exploring the Serengeti’s vast plains. Morning and afternoon game drives will give you the best chance to see lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and large herds of wildebeests and zebras. Return to your lodge to relax under the starlit African sky.
Day 7: Another Day in the Serengeti
Enjoy another full day in the Serengeti for extended wildlife viewing. You may choose to visit different areas of the park or opt for an optional hot-air balloon safari at sunrise (additional cost). After a thrilling day, unwind at your lodge with a sundowner and gourmet dinner.
Day 8: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop for a visit to a Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions. Continue to your lodge located on the crater rim, offering spectacular views. Dinner and overnight at a luxury lodge.
Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater floor is home to a dense population of wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, and black rhinos. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before continuing your exploration. Return to your lodge in the evening for a relaxing night.
Day 10: Ngorongoro – Arusha – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a hot lunch and some souvenir shopping before being transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
