Day 1: Arusha / Moshi – Materuni Village – Arusha / Moshi
Your day begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Arusha or Moshi to Materuni Village, located on the lush slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by local Chagga guides who will share insights into the village’s traditions, coffee farming, and lifestyle.
You’ll start with a guided hike to Materuni Waterfalls, passing through banana plantations, local farms, and tropical vegetation. The hike takes about 45 minutes to an hour, leading you to a stunning 90-meter-high waterfall an ideal spot for photos and a refreshing swim in the natural pool below.
