Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your Mandari Travel representative will meet you. Transfer to your hotel in Arusha for a safari briefing and overnight stay.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest along the Tarangire River. Overnight near the park.
Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
Travel to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its flamingos, hippos, and tree-climbing lions. Explore the park’s diverse habitats before continuing to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, rhinos, and flamingos in one of Africa’s most stunning wildlife areas. Overnight at a lodge on the crater rim.
Day 5: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park
Travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands to Serengeti National Park. Stop at Olduvai Gorge to learn about early human history. Arrive in Serengeti for an afternoon game drive and overnight stay.
Day 6: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive
Explore the Serengeti Plains, observing lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Morning and afternoon drives maximize wildlife sightings and photography opportunities.
Day 7: Northern Serengeti & Maasai Village Visit
Head to the Northern Serengeti for migration viewing and game drives. Visit an authentic Maasai village to learn about traditional life, culture, and customs. Overnight near the Mara River or Northern Serengeti.
Day 8: Mara River Crossing (Seasonal)
Spend the day tracking wildebeest and zebra herds at the Mara River for a thrilling river crossing experience (seasonal). Capture dramatic wildlife moments and enjoy expert-guided observation from safe vantage points.
Day 9: Serengeti – Arusha – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha, stopping for scenic views or cultural interactions along the way. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your 9-Day Tanzania Safari & Cultural Experience.
