Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by your driver-guide. Transfer to your hotel in Arusha for rest and a briefing about your upcoming safari adventure. Dinner and overnight stay in Arusha.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes. Dinner and overnight stay in Tarangire.
Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
Today you’ll visit Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. Enjoy a scenic game drive through the lush forest and along the lake shores before heading to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Day 5: Karatu – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive to the famous Serengeti National Park through the Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, stop for a picnic lunch and enjoy wildlife sightings en route. Spend your afternoon on a game drive across the endless plains before checking in to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring Serengeti, home to incredible wildlife diversity. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles crossing the plains in search of greener pastures. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives before returning to your lodge.
Day 7: Serengeti – Isebania Border – Maasai Mara, Kenya
After breakfast, drive to the Isebania border, complete immigration formalities, and continue into Kenya. Enjoy an en-route game drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge or tented camp in Maasai Mara.
Day 8: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara
Spend the entire day exploring the famous Maasai Mara. This reserve is home to Africa’s Big Five and a key part of the Great Migration route. Spot lions, leopards, elephants, and hippos as you drive across the vast savannah. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve before returning to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its pink flamingos and rhinos. Enjoy an afternoon game drive around the lake to spot rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, and various bird species. Dinner and overnight stay in Nakuru.
Day 10: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park
Today, travel to Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, enjoy a short evening game drive with views of elephants set against Africa’s highest mountain. Dinner and overnight stay in Amboseli.
Day 11: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Spend a full day exploring Amboseli. This park is known for its large herds of elephants and panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Capture beautiful photographs and enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12: Amboseli – Nairobi Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely drive to Nairobi. Depending on your flight schedule, you can be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your 12-Day Tanzania & Kenya Classic Safari Adventure.
